Cabinet Decision No. 68/2024 On the Implementing Regulation of Federal Decree-Law No. 55/2023 Concerning Media Regulation
The Council of Ministers,
After perusal of the Constitution;
Federal Decree-Law No. 57/2022 On the Establishment of the UAE Media Council; and
Federal Decree-Law No. 55/2023 Concerning Media Regulation;
And based on the proposal of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Media Council, and the approval of the Council of Ministers;
Hereby decides as follows:
Article 1 - Definitions
The definitions mentioned in Federal Decree-Law No. 55/2023 Concerning Media Regulation shall apply to this Decision. Otherwise, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context requires otherwise:
Decree-Law: Federal Decree-Law No. 55/2023 Concerning Media Regulation.
Foreign Media Offices: Institutions or bodies operating in the State under official licences issued by the competent authority. These institutions and bodies represent foreign media outlets within the State in line with the relevant laws and legislation.
