Cabinet Decision No. 42/2025 On the List of Violations and Administrative Penalties for Actions That Occur in Breach of the Provisions of Federal Decree-Law No. 55/2023 on the Regulation of Media and Its Implementing Regulation
The Council of Ministers,
After perusal of the Constitution;
Federal Law No. 14/2016 on the Violations and Administrative Penalties at the Federal Government;
Federal Decree-Law No. 57/2022 on the establishment of the UAE Media Council;
Federal Decree-Law No. 55/2023 on Media Regulation;
Cabinet Decision No. 68/2024 on the Implementing Regulation of Federal Decree-Law no. 55/2023 on the regulation of media; and
Based on the proposal of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Media Council, and the approval of the Council of Ministers,
Has decided the following:
Article 1 - Definitions
The definitions mentioned in Federal Decree-Law No. 55/2023 on Media Regulation shall apply to this Decision. Otherwise, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context requires otherwise:
State: The United Arab Emirates.
Council: The UAE Media Council.
Chairman: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Council.
