Cabinet Decision No. 31/2009 On the Formation of the Supreme Committee for Medical Liability and the Regulation and Procedures of Work Thereof

The Cabinet:
Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution; and
Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the jurisdictions of the ministries and the competences of the ministers and the amendments thereof; and
Federal Law No. 10/2008 on medical liability; and
Acting upon the proposal made by the Minister of Health and the approval of the Cabinet thereon;
Have issued the following Resolution:
Article 1
A standing technical medical committee named Supreme Committee for Medical Liability shall be formed under the presidency of Dr. Youssef Abdulrazzak, professor at the Faculty of Science and Health Sciences at the UAE University and the membership of the consultant physicians representing the bodies assigned to each thereof:
Dr. Saqr Al-Maala, Ministry of Health, vice-president;
Dr. Abdul-Majid Al-Zubeidi, Health Authority - Abu Dhabi;
Dr. Issa Kazem, Dubai Health Authority;
Dr. Saif Said Al-Badwawi, Medical Services Corps at the Armed Forces;
Dr. Sameh Mohamed Fakhri Hanafi, Medical Services Department at the Ministry of Interior;
Dr. Ali Al-Nmeir, Emirates Medical Association;
