Cabinet Decision No. 28/2023 Concerning the Executive Regulations of Federal Decree-Law No. 46/2021 on Electronic Transactions

The Cabinet,

Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution;

Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, and its amendments;

Federal Decree-Law No. 14/2021 on the establishment of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security;

Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021 on Personal Data Protection;

Federal Decree-Law No. 46/2021 on Electronic Transactions and Trust Services;

Federal Decree-Law No. 42/2022 Promulgating the Civil Procedure Law;

Based on the proposal of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), and the approval of the Cabinet,

Has decided the following:

Article 1 - Definitions

The definitions contained in Federal Decree-Law No. 46/2021 referred to in this Decision shall apply to the present Decision. Otherwise, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned thereto, unless the context requires otherwise:

  • Decree-Law: Federal Decree-Law No. 46/2021 on Electronic Transactions and Trust Services.

  • Competent Authority: The authority issuing the commercial licence.
