Cabinet Decision No. 26/2017 On the Implementing Regulation of the Federal Law No 10/2015 on Food Safety
The Cabinet,
Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution,
Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers, and its amendments;
Federal Law No. 10/2015 on Food Safety;
And according to the suggestion of the Minister of Climate Change and Environment and the approval of the Cabinet,
Decided:
Article 1 - Definitions
In application of this Decision's provisions, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings stated beside them, unless the context requires otherwise:
State: United Arab Emirates.
Emirate: Any Emirate of the State.
Ministry: Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
Minister: Minister of Climate Change and Environment.
Competent Authority: Local authority specialised in food and feed safety in each Emirate.
Relevant Authorities: Ministries, government departments and federal public bodies and institutions concerned with food and feed safety.
Law: Federal Law No. 10/2015 on Food Safety.
