Cabinet Decision No. 26/2013 On UAE Regulation for the Control of Drinking Water

The Council of Ministers:
- After perusal of the Constitution;
- Federal Law No. 1/1972 on Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers and its amendments; and
- Federal Law No. 28/2001 on the Establishment of the Emirates for Standardization and Metrology Authority and its amendments; and
- Based on the Cabinet's approval,
Has issued the following Decision:
Article 1 - Definitions
1-In application of the provisions of this Decision, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned hereto, unless the context requires otherwise:
State : United Arab Emirates.
Authority : Emirates Standardisation and Metrology Authority.
Board : The Board of Directors of the Authority.
Director-General : The Director-General of the Authority.
Competent Authorities : The federal and /or local government authority in the State, entrusted with the application of this Law and regulations issued thereunder.
