Cabinet Decision No. 19/2021 Concerning COVID-19 PCR Test Fees

The Cabinet,

Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution;

Federal Law No. 1/1972 on Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers and its amendments;

Federal Decree-Law No. 26/2019 on Public Finance; and

Based on the proposal of the Minister of Finance and the approval of the Cabinet,

Issued the following Decision:

Article 1

1- The Ministry of Health and Prevention shall collect a fee of AED (85) eighty-five for conducting the COVID-19 PCR (polymerase chain reaction) Test.

2- The Minister of Health and Prevention shall be authorised to issue a decision specifying the categories to be exempted from the fee referred to in Clause (1) of this Decision.

Article 2

The fee mentioned in this Decision shall be collected by the means determined by the Ministry of Finance.

Article 3

Every provision that contradicts or conflicts with the provisions of this Decision shall be abrogated.

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall be effective from January 17-2021 until December 31-2021.
