Cabinet Decision No. 18/2024 On the Implementing Regulation for Federal Decree-Law No. 22/2022 on the Regulation of Translation Profession

Council of Ministers:
Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution;
Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and Powers of Ministers, and its amendments;
Federal Decree-Law No. 22/2022 on the Regulation of the Translation Profession; and
Acting upon the proposal of the Minister of Justice and the approval of the Council of Ministers;
Hereby Issued the following Decision:
Article 1
The definitions provided in Federal Decree-Law No. 22/2022 shall govern the interpretation of this Decision. In the absence of such definitions, the following terms and expressions shall bear the meanings ascribed to them, unless the context of the text requires otherwise:
Sign Language: Languages that use the visual-manual modality to convey meaning, instead of spoken words by individuals who are deaf, have hearing impairments, or are unable to communicate verbally.
Director of the Department: The individual overseeing the organisational unit responsible for translator affairs within the Ministry.
Technical Inspector: An employee designated within the Ministry tasked with auditing and conducting technical inspections of translators' work.
