Cabinet Decision No. 136/2023 Concerning the Technical Regulation for the Energy Efficiency of Electric Motors in the United Arab Emirates
The Council of Ministers:
Pursuant to the perusal of the Constitution;
Federal Decree-Law No. 20/2020 On Standardisation and Metrology;
And based on the proposal of the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the approval by the Council of Ministers;
Has decided:
Article 1
The Technical Regulation for the Energy Efficiency of Electric Motors, whose number and title are shown in the Schedule attached to this Decision, shall be deemed a mandatory technical regulation in the United Arab Emirates.
Article 2
All the concerned entities, existing at the time of enforcement of this Decision, shall regularise their statuses in accordance with the provisions thereof within (365) days from the date of its enforcement.
Article 3
The present Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and shall come into force from the day following the date of its publication.
