Cabinet Decision No. 117/2024 On the Technical Regulation for Safety Requirements in Modified Cars
The Cabinet,
After perusal of the Constitution;
Federal Law No. 21/1995 on the Traffic, and its amendments;
Federal Decree-Law No. 20/2020 on Standardisation and Metrology;
Cabinet Decision No. 45/2016 on the Mandatory Standard Specifications in the United Arab Emirates; and
Based on the proposal of the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the approval by the Cabinet,
Has decided the following:
Article 1
The Technical Regulation for Safety Requirements in Modified Cars, whose number and title are shown in the table attached to this Decision, shall be deemed a mandatory technical regulation in the United Arab Emirates.
Article 2
Technical Regulation No. (UAE.S 5014:2016) entitled Safety Requirements for Modified Vehicles approved by Cabinet Decision No. 45/2016 referred to herein shall be abrogated.
Article 3
This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette,and shall come into force (180) one hundred and eighty days from the date of its publication.
