Cabinet Decision No. 103/2022 On the Administrative Penalties Imposed for Acts that Violate the Provisions of Federal Decree-Law No. 17/2022 on the Regulation of the Connection of Distributed Renewable Energy Production Units to the Electrical Grid

The Council of Ministers,

After perusal of the Constitution;

Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the competencies of Ministries and powers of Ministers, and its amendments;

Federal Law No. 14/2016 on the violations and administrative penalties at the Federal Government;

Federal Decree-Law No. 17/2022 on the regulation of the connection of distributed renewable energy production units to the electrical grid; and

Based on the proposal of the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and the approval of the

Council of Ministers,

Has decided the following:

Article 1 - Definitions

In the implementation of the provisions of the present Decision, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned thereto, unless the context requires otherwise:

  • State: The United Arab Emirates.

  • Ministry: Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.

  • Emirate: Any Emirate of the State.

  • Competent Authority: The ministry or the local entity that is concerned with the regulation of the generation, distribution and supply of electricity, as the case may be.
