Federal Law No. 26/1981 concerning the Maritime Commercial Law and its amendments;

Federal Decree No. 38/1983 concerning the accession to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) of 1974 and its amendments and its Protocol of 1978;

Federal Decree No. 42/983 on the accession to the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (or STCW) of 1978;

Federal Law No. 19/1993 on the Delimitation of Maritime Zones in the UAE;

Cabinet Decision No. 27/2005 on the Fees for the Services provided by the Marine Affairs Department at the Ministry of Transport;

Ministerial Decision No. 127/2001 concerning the issuance of the Regulation on the Standards and Levels of Equipping the Ship with Marine Officers and Engineers and with Licentiate Mariners; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

Has issued the following Decision:
