Federal Administrative Decision No. 2/2015 On the Regulation of the Light Sport Aircraft Activities
The Chairman of the Board of Directors,
- After perusal of the Constitution;
- Federal Law No. 1/1972 on the Competencies of the Ministries and Powers of the Ministers and its amending laws;
- Federal Law No. 20/1991 on the Issuance of the Civil Aviation Law;
- Federal Law No. 4/1996 on the General Civil Aviation Authority, and its amending laws;
- Cabinet Decision No. 147/7/2013 and Cabinet Decision No. 147/5/2013 on the Formation of the General Civil Aviation Authority Board of Directors;
- Cabinet Decision No. 34/15/2008 on the Appointment of the Chairman of the General Civil Aviation Authority;
- Based on the presentation submitted to the Authority's Board of Directors and Cabinet's approval thereof,
- Based on work requirements,
Decides the following:
Chapter 1 - Definitions and Scope of Application
Article 1 - Definitions
In the application of this Law, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context stipulates otherwise:
1- State: The United Arab Emirates State.
2- Competent authority: The General Civil Aviation Authority.
