Federal Administrative Decision No. 18/2014 On the Adoption of a UAE Standard
The Chairman of the Board;
After perusal of Federal Law No. 28/2001 on the Establishment of the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology, and
Upon the decision of the Board of Directors in its First Meeting held on 06/03/2014 on the accreditation of UAE standard specifications and the Unified Emirates and Gulf standards proposed on the Board;
Has issued the following Decision:
Article 1
The UAE Standard Specifications listed in title and number in the tables attached hereto, shall be adopted:
- Table No. (1) consisting of (2) upgraded Unified Emirates and Gulf standards related to the food sector.
- Table No. (2) consisting of (92) Unified Emirates and Gulf standards inspired by international standard specifications in the Electricity and Information Technology Sectors.
Article 2
This Decision along with tables 1 and 2 shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force as of the date of its publication.
