Sharjah Executive Council Decision No. 6/2025 On the Establishment of Sharjah Cyber Security Centre
We, Sultan bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al-Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah,
After perusal of Sharjah Law No. 2/1999 on the establishment of Sharjah Executive Council, its bylaws, and its amendments;
Sharjah Law No. 7/2024 on the regulation of Sharjah Digital Department; and
Based on the approval of Sharjah Executive Council and the public interest requirements,
Have issued the following Decision:
Article 1 - Definitions
In application of the provisions of this Decision, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context requires otherwise:
Emirate: The Emirate of Sharjah.
Centre: Sharjah Cyber Security Centre
Article 2 - Establishment
A cybersecurity centre shall be established in the Emirate and shall be named:
“Sharjah Cyber Security Centre”
It shall the juristic and legal capacity to conduct the necessary legal dispositions in order to achieve its objectives and exercise its competencies. It reports to Sharjah Digital Department at the administrative and financial levels.
