The following terms and expressions shall - wherever mentioned in the present Controls - have the meanings assigned thereto, unless the context requires otherwise:

• Authority: General Authority for State Real Estate.

• Board: Board of Directors of the Authority.

• Governor: Governor of the Authority.

• Government Entity: Ministries, government agencies, authorities, departments, public institutions, and agencies with independent public legal personality.

• Controls: Controls for Real Estate Ownership by the State.

• Request: Purchase request submitted by the Government Entity according to the form prepared for that purpose.

• Real Estate Property: Land, building, facility, or real estate unit with specific specifications, that is owned by a title deed.

• Technical Standards: Approved standards and specifications of state properties, that are set by the Authority.

• Portal: Electronic portal adopted by the Authority.

The provisions of these Controls shall apply to Real Estate Property ownership requests submitted by Government Entities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
