Ras al Khaimah Emiri Decree No. 26/2014 On the Establishment of a Free Zone in the Close Proximity of Ras al Khaimah International Airport

We Saud Bin Saqr Mohammed Al-Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al-Khaimah

After perusal of

Law of 2000 on Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone, and its amendments;

Ras al Khaimah Law No. 1/2012 on Civil Aviation as amended by Ras al Khaimah Law No. 2/2014; and

Ras al Khaimah Emiri Decree No. 16/2014 on the formation of the Board of Directors of RAK International Airport

And based on the public interest requirements

Decreed the following:

Article 1

A free zone shall be established by virtue of this Decree in the areas surrounding RAK International Airport within the area and borders shown in the map (annex 1) attached to this Decree, and shall be owned by the RAK Government.

Article 2

The Free Zone shall be divided into the following sections:

1- The Cargo Free Zone;

2- The Industrial Free Zone;

3- The Maintenance and Training Free Zone (General Aviation).

Article 3

The establishment of this Free Zone aims at developing, improving, promoting and encouraging investment.
