Qatar Law No. 25/2015 On the Civil Defence

Abrogating:

Qatar Law No. 13/1997 dated 20/05/1997

We, Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar

After perusal of the Constitution;

Qatar Law No. 13/1988 On Expropriation and Temporary Take-Over of Properties for Public Interest, and its amendments;

Qatar Law No. 13/1997 on the Civil Defence, and its amendments;

Military Service Law issued by virtue of Qatar Decree-Law No. 31/2006 and amended by virtue of Qatar Law No. 9/2010;

Qatar Law No. 9/2007 on Martial Law;

Qatar Law No. 5/2015 on Commercial, Industrial Outlets and Other Similar Public Facilities and Street Peddlers;

Qatar Cabinet Decision No. 17/1998 on the Establishment of the Permanent Emergency Committee and the amending decisions thereof;

The proposal of the Minister of Interior;

And the Draft Law submitted by the Council of Ministers;

And after consulting the Shura Council;

Have issued the following Law:

Chapter 1 - Definitions

Article 1

In the implementation of the provisions of this Law, the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned thereto, unless the context requires otherwise:

Minister : The Minister of Interior.
