Qatar Law No. 20/2021 On the Issuance of the Law on Mediation in the Settlement of Civil and Commercial Disputes
We, Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar,
Having perused the Constitution,
Civil and Commercial Procedure Law promulgated by Qatar Law No. 13/1990, and its amending Laws;
Judicial Authority Law Law, promulgated by Qatar Law No. 10/2003, and its amending laws;
Law of Arbitration in Civil and Commercial Matters issued promulgated by Qatar Law No. 2/2017;
Based on the proposal of the Supreme Judiciary Council;
The draft Law submitted by the Cabinet;
And after taking the opinion of the Shura Council,
Decided the following Law:
Article 1
The Law on Mediation in the Settlement of Civil and Commercial Disputes enclosed to this Law shall enter into effect.
Article 2
The provisions of the enclosed Law shall apply to cases and disputes that shall be settled by the Civil and Commercial Departments of the First Instance Court, and cases and disputes stipulated in any other Law.
