Oman Sultani Decree No. 91/2020 Amending the Name of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture to the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Determining Its Competences, and Adopting Its Organisational Structure

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

Oman Sultani Decree No. 95/2005 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Tourism and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

Oman Sultani Decree No. 40/2016 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and the System of the Administrative Apparatus of the State promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 75/2020,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The name of the “Ministry of Heritage and Culture” is hereby amended to the “Ministry of Heritage and Tourism” and its competences are hereby determined in accordance with the attached Annex 1.

Article 2

The organisational structure of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism is hereby adopted in accordance with the attached Annex 2.

Article 3

All allocations, assets, rights, obligations, and holdings of the Ministry of Tourism are hereby  transferred to the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.

Article 4

The employees of the Ministry of Tourism are hereby transferred to the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism with their same financial grades.
