We, Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman

After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State;

Oman Sultani Decree No. 56/2020 on determining official holidays; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

Have issued the following Decree:

Article 1

The text of Clause (d) of Paragraph (First) of Article 1 was replaced by virtue of Article 1 of Oman Sultani Decree No. 15/2025 dated 21/01/2025 to read as follows:

Determination of the official holidays of the units of the administrative apparatus of the State and other public juristic persons as well as the establishments of the private sector:

First:

  • a- Hijri Islamic New Year, on the first of Muharram

  • b- Mawlid an-Nabi ash-Sharif, on12 Rabi’ Al-Awwal

  • c- Israʾ and Miʿraj on 27 Rajab

  • d- National Day of Oman on 20 and 21 November

  • e- The day on which the Sultan assumes the reins of power in the Country.
