Oman Sultani Decree No. 82/2020 On the Issuance of the Job Security Statute

We, Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman,

Having perused the Basic Statute of the State and the Social Insurance Law, promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 72/1991 and based on the public interest requirements,

Issued the following Decree

Article 1

The Job Security Statute attached hereto shall enter into effect.

Article 2

The Chairman of the Board of the Public Authority for Social Insurance shall issue the necessary regulations and decisions for the implementation of the provisions of the enclosed Statute.

Article 3

The amendment of the provisions of the enclosed Statute shall be under a decision of the Chairman of the Board of the Public Authority for Social Insurance, after the approval of the Cabinet.

Article 4

All that contradicts this Decree and the enclosed Statute or contradicts the provisions thereof shall be abrogated.

Article 5

This Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into effect on the first of November 2020, except the following:
