Oman Sultani Decree No. 70/2024 On the Promulgation of the Law of the Top-Up Tax on Constituent Entities of Multinational Groups

We, Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman,

After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State; and

The Income Tax Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 28/2009; and 

Based on the public interest requirements,

Have decreed the following:

Article 1

The provisions of the attached Law of the Top-up Tax on Constituent Entities of Multinational Groups shall come into force.

Article 2

The Chairman of the Tax Authority shall issue the Implementing Regulation of the attached Law, and shall also issue the necessary regulations and decisions for implementing its provisions.

Article 3

All that is contrary to the attached Law, or inconsistent with its provisions, shall be abrogated.

Article 4

This Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and it shall come into force from the first of January 2025.
