Oman Sultani Decree No. 68/2023 On the Promulgation of the Public Debt Law
We, Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman,
After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State;
Oman Sultani Decree No. 48/1976 On the Signing of Foreign and Domestic Financial Transactions;
The Financial Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 47/1998;
The Banking Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 114/2000;
And the Securities Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 46/2022;
Upon proposal to the Council of Oman;
And based on the public interest requirements,
Have decreed the following:
Article 1
The provisions of the Public Debt Law herewith attached shall come into force.
Article 2
The Minister of Finance shall issue the Implementing Regulation of the attached Law as well as the necessary regulations and decisions for the implementation of its provisions. Pending issuance thereof, the existing regulations and decisions shall remain in effect in a manner not inconsistent with its provisions.
Article 3
All that is contrary to the attached Law, or in conflict with its provisions, shall be abrogated.
