Oman Sultani Decree No. 68/2008 On the Promulgation of the Law of Evidence in Civil and Commercial Transactions

We, Qaboos Bin Said, Sultan of Oman,

After perusal of the Basic Constitution of the State promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 101/1996, and

The Civil and Commercial Procedure Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 29/2002,

And based on the public interest requirements,

Have decreed as follows:

Article 1

The provisions of the attached Law of Evidence in Civil and Commercial Transactions shall be put into effect.

Article 2

Any provision inconsistent or contrary to the provisions of the attached Law shall be abrogated.

Article 3

This Decree shall be published in the official gazette, and be put into effect three months after its publication date.

Issued on 11 Jumada Al-Awwal 1429 AH.
