Oman Sultani Decree No. 61/2020 Establishing the Oman Investment Authority
We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 101/1996,
Oman Sultani Decree No. 1/1980 Establishing the State General Reserve Fund,
Oman Sultani Decree No. 39/1996 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Finance and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,
and Oman Sultani Decree No. 14/2006 Establishing the Oman Investment Fund and Promulgating Its System, and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
An authority named the “Oman Investment Authority” is hereby established. It shall have legal personality, shall enjoy financial and administrative independence, and shall be subordinate to the Council of Ministers.
Article 2
The Oman Investment Authority shall have a board of directors formed by virtue of an order of His Majesty the Sultan.
Article 3
The system of the Oman Investment Authority shall be promulgated by royal decree.
