Oman Sultani Decree No. 57/2020 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from Their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity
We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 101/1996,
Oman Sultani Decree No. 119/1994 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to Some International Agreements, and the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from Their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity done at Nagoya on 29 October 2010,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from Their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity is hereby approved in the form attached.
Article 2
Competent bodies shall deposit the instrument of accession for the aforementioned protocol in accordance with its provisions.
