Oman Sultani Decree No. 52/2024 On the Promulgation of the Law of National Records
We, Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman,
After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State;
The Police Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 35/1990;
Law of Cybercrime promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 12/2011;
The Statistics and Information Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 55/2019;
Oman Sultani Decree No. 51/2024 on the establishment of the National Records Centre and determination of its competencies; and
Based on the public interest requirements,
Have decreed the following:
Article 1
The Law of National Records herewith attached shall apply.
Article 2
The Inspector-General of Police and Customs shall issue the Implementing Regulation of the attached Law upon approval of the Council of Ministers. Pending issuance thereof, the existing regulations and decisions shall remain in effect without contradicting the provisions of the attached Law.
Article 3
All that is contrary to the attached Law, or inconsistent with its provisions, shall be abrogated.
