Oman Sultani Decree No. 51/2019 Privatisation Law
We, Qaboos bin Said, Sultan of Oman,
After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 101/1996;
Privatisation Law issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 77/2004;
Tender Law issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 36/2008;
Based on the proposal made to the Council of Oman; and
Based on the public interest requirements,
Have issued the following Decree:
Article 1
The Privatisation Law here-attached shall come into force.
Article 2
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Privatisation and Partnership (PAPP) shall issue the Implementing Regulation of the attached Law within a period not exceeding one year from the date of its entry into force, in addition to the necessary decisions to implement its provisions. Until the issuance of aforesaid decisions, the applicable regulations and decisions shall remain in force to the extent that does not contradict its provisions.
Article 3
The Privatisation Law issued by Sultani Decree No. 77/2004 shall be abrogated as well as any provision that contradicts or violates any provisions of the attached Law.
