Abrogates

Oman Sultani Decree No. 93/2000

We, Qaboos bin Said, Sultan of Oman,

After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 101/1996;

Oman Sultani Decree no. 93/2000 on the Veterinary Quarantine Regulation in the States of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council;

The Decision of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council in its 21st session held in Bahrain on 30 and 31 December 2000 on the Regulation of Veterinary Quarantine in the GCC States; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

Have decreed the following:

Article 1

The provisions of the attached Law shall apply regarding Veterinary Quarantine.

Article 2

The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries shall issue the implementing regulations and decisions of the aforementioned Law. Until their issuance, the existing regulations and decisions shall remain in force insofar as they do not conflict with the provisions of the present Law.

Article 3

Aforementioned Oman Sultani Decree No. 93/2000 shall be abrogated, and any provisions deemed contrary to the annexed Law shall be also abrogated.
