Oman Sultani Decree No. 41/2024 Promulgating the Law of Advocacy and Legal Consultancy

Oman Sultani Decree No. 108/1996 dated 29/12/1996
We, Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman,
After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,
The Law of Advocacy promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 108/1996,
Oman Sultani Decree No. 88/2020 Merging the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Legal Affairs into One Ministry Called “Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs”, Defining Its Competences and Adopting its Organisational Structure,
After proposal to the Council of Oman, and
Based on the requirements of public interest,
Have decreed as follows:
Article 1
The attached Law of Advocacy and Legal Consultancy shall be enforced.
Article 2
The Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs shall issue the executive regulations of the attached Law, as well as the necessary decisions for its implementation. Until such regulations and decisions are issued, the existing regulations and decisions shall continue to be in force, insofar as they do not conflict with the provisions of the attached Law.
