Abrogates

Oman Sultani Decree No. 68/1977 dated 05/10/1977

We, Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman

After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State;

Oman Sultani Decree No. 68/1977 on the Establishment of Private Schools,

Upon proposal to the Council of Oman; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

Have issued the following Decree:

Article 1

The provisions of the School Education Law enclosed hereto shall enter into effect.

Article 2

The Minister of Education shall issue the Implementing Regulation of the attached Law, and the regulations and decisions necessary to implement the provisions thereof, and until their issuance, the existing regulations and decisions shall continue to be in effect, as long as they do not contradict its provisions.

Article 3

Aforementioned Oman Sultani Decree No. 68/1977 shall be abrogated. Any provision that contradicts or conflicts with the attached Law shall be also abrogated.

Article 4

The present Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and it shall come into force as of the day following the date of its publication.
