Oman Sultani Decree No. 2/2016 Approving the General Budget of the State for Fiscal Year 2016

We, Qaboos bin Said, Sultan of Oman,

After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 101/1996,

The Financial Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 47/1998,

After referring to the Council of Oman,

And based on the public interest requirements,

We have decreed the following:

Article 1

The General Budget of the State for Fiscal Year 2016 shall be ratified pursuant to the Tables attached.

Article 2

All ministries and government units shall, each within its own competence, implement the provisions of the present Decree, and shall continue to take necessary measures for control and Rationalisation of public spending.

Article 3

The Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council shall review and assess the General Budget of the State for Fiscal year 2016, and shall seek measures that ensure maintenance of the current position of the State.

Article 4

The present Decree shall be published in the official gazette, and shall come into force on the First of January 2016.
