Oman Sultani Decree No. 21/2024 On the Issuance of the Biometrics Law

We, Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman,

After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State;

Upon submitting the proposal to the Council of Oman; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

Have decreed the following:

Article 1

The annexed Biometrics Law shall be applicable.

The Inspector-General of Police and Customs shall issue the Implementing Regulation of the annexed Law.

All that is contrary to the attached Law, or inconsistent with its provisions, shall be abrogated.

This Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and shall come into force from the day following the date of its publication.
