Oman Sultani Decree No. 21/2004 On Regulating the Ownership by GCC Nationals of a Property in the Member State
Abrogating:
Oman Sultani Decree No. 20/2000 dated 05/03/2000
We, Qaboos Bin Said, Sultan of Oman
After perusal of the basic statute of the State promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 101/1996;
Land Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 5/1980 and its amending laws;
Land Register Regulation promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 2/1998;
Oman Sultani Decree No. 20/2000 on regulating the ownership of a property by GCC nationals;
Decision of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council in its twenty-third session held in Qatar on 21 and 22 September 2002 on regulating the ownership by GCC nationals of a property in the member states of said Council;
Have decreed the following:
Article 1
The provisions of the decision of the Supreme Council of GCC on regulating the ownership of a property by the Council nationals' shall be implemented.
Article 2
The Minister of Housing, Electricity and Water shall proceed with the necessary measures to implement the provisions of the abovementioned decision of the Supreme Council.
