Abrogating

Oman Sultani Decree No. 38/2014 dated 12/08/2014

We, Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman;

Pursuant to the perusal of the Basic Statute of the State;

The Omani Nationality Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 38/2014; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

Have decreed as follows:

Article 1

The provisions of the Omani Nationality Law enclosed herewith shall be put into effect.

Article 2

The Minister of Interior shall issue the Implementing Regulation and the necessary decisions for the implementation of the provisions of the attached Law. Until their issuance, the applicable regulations and decisions shall remain in force regarding all matters not specifically provided for in the Law, to the extent that they do not conflict with its provisions.

Article 3

The aforementioned Omani Nationality Law shall be abrogated. Any provision contrary to the attached Law or contradicting its provisions shall also be abrogated.

Article 4

This Decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and it shall come into force from the day following the date of its publication.
