Oman Sultani Decree No. 104/2020 Amending Some Provisions of the Royal Decrees Establishing the National Centre for Statistics and Information and Promulgating Its System

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

Oman Sultani Decree No. 31/2012 Establishing the National Centre for Statistics and Information,

the System of the National Centre for Statistics and Information promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 40/2014,

the System of the Administrative Apparatus of the State promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 75/2020, and Oman Sultani Decree No. 94/2020 Establishing the Ministry of Economy and Determining Its Competences,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The text of article I of the aforementioned Oman Sultani Decree No. 31/2012 is hereby replaced with the following text:

A centre named the “National Centre for Statistics and Information” is hereby established subordinate to the Minister of Economy.

Article 2

The phrase “Supreme Council for Planning” wherever it occurs in the aforementioned System of the National Centre for Statistics and Information is hereby replaced with the phrase “Minister of Economy.”

Article 3

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.
