The provisions of Oman Regulation No. BM/32/12/1988
Pursuant to the provisions of the Banking Law of 1974;

Decision of the Board of Governors of Central Bank of Oman No. MM/920/84/3/94/12 at its meeting held on the 27th of March 1994,
The following Decision has been issued:
Article 1
This Regulation is issued for the purpose of regulating and supervising Investment banking activities in all aspects in the Sultanate of Oman, as per the definition laid down in Article 4 of the present Regulation.
Article 2
All banks operating in the Sultanate, and which are licensed by the Central Bank of Oman to exercise investment banking activities, in or from the Sultanate of Oman, shall be subject to the provisions of this Regulation and any other relevant laws and regulations.
Article 3
The present Regulation aims at specifying the licensing procedures and requirements for banks, operating in the Sultanate, which intend to exercise investment banking activities.
