Oman Ministerial Decision No. 92/2019 On the Issuance of the Implementing Regulation of the Omani Citizenship Law

Pursuant to the Omani Citizenship Law issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 38/2014;

Approval of the Ministry of Finance; and

Based on the requirements of the public interest;

The following was decided:

Article 1

The Implementing Regulation of the annexed Omani Citizenship Law shall be implemented.

Article 2

Any provision that is contrary to and in contradiction to the Omani Citizenship Law shall be abrogated.

Article 3

The present Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and shall be implemented from the day following its publication.

Title 1 - Definitions and general provisions

Article 1

In implementation of the provisions of the present Regulation, the terms and expressions mentioned therein shall have the same meanings indicated in the Omani Citizenship Law, and the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned thereto unless the context requires otherwise:

  • Law: Omani Citizenship Law.

    Department: Department of Citizenship and Passports at the Ministry.
