Oman Ministerial Decision No. 92/2018 On the Rules for Investment in Government Lands Allocated for Private Higher Education Institutions
Pursuant to the perusal of the Land Law issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 5/1980;
Oman Sultani Decree No. 67/2000 concerning certain provisions related to higher education institutions; and
Based on the public interest requirements,
The following Decision has been issued:
Article 1
Private Higher Education Institutions may apply for investing no more than (15%) fifteen per cent of the total area of the land allocated for them to exercise their licensed activity. The approval of such application shall be issued in accordance with the following rules:
1-Investment shall be in the areas that are consistent with the values, traditions and academic customs, and shall not prejudice the level of education and scientific research or the basic services associated with the educational process.
2-All educational facilities and their appurtenances -including green spaces shall have been fully constructed, in accordance with the standards and specifications approved by the Ministry of Higher Education.
