Oman Ministerial Decision No. 849/2010 On the Determination of the Headquarters and Jurisprudence of the Courts of Appeal

Based on the Judicial Authority Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 90/99;

Oman Sultani Decree No. 117/2010 on the establishment of Courts of Appeal;

Oman Ministerial Decision No. 120/2001 on the determination and Jurisprudence of the Courts of Appeal; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

The following has been decided:

Article 1

The text of the last of Article 1 clause was replaced by virtue of Article 1 of Oman Decision No. 293/2024 dated 03/07/2024, to read as follows:

The headquarters and jurisprudence of each Court of Appeal shall be determined as follows:

  • Muscat Court of Appeal; its headquarters shall be in the building located in Al Khuwair no. 1999, and its jurisprudence shall cover the Wilayah of Muscat, Mutrah, Bushehr, Al Amarat and Quriyat.

  • Al Seeb Court of Appeal; its headquarters shall be in the building of the Court of First Instance in Al Seeb Wilayah, and its jurisprudence shall cover Al Seeb and Bidbid.
