Oman Ministerial Decision No. 730/2024 On the Regulation of the Temporary Transfer of Non-Omani Workers Between Private Sector Establishments

Based on the Labour Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 53/2023; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

The following decision was issued:

Article 1

The transfer of non-Omani workers between private sector establishments on a temporary basis shall be subject to the provisions of the present Decision.

Article 2

The following conditions shall be fulfilled regarding the transfer of non-Omanis between the private sector establishments on a temporary basis:

  1. The worker shall not be transferred to a profession that has been subject to Omanisation.

  2. The worker shall be transferred to a profession from the same category of the profession thereof, and that is consistent with the nature of his profession before the transfer.

  3. Consent of the worker on being transferred to work for another establishment.

  4. The worker shall have passed at least (6) months of work at the establishment from which he is transferred.

  5. The status of the work permit of the worker shall be “active”, and the duration until such permit expires shall not be less than six months.
