The Wages Protection System aims at monitoring the transactions of electronic disbursement of salaries of the private sector’s employees, in order to ensure the employer’s compliance with the transfer of the employees’ salaries into their accounts in any bank or financial institution that is subject to the control and supervision of the Central Bank of Oman, as per the amount agreed upon in the work contract and within the duration prescribed by law.

The employer shall update the work contract in case a change is made to the salary of any employee, provided that the contract mentions the real salary of the employee.
