Oman Ministerial Decision No. 517/2019 On the Temporary Suspension of the Licensing to Recruit Non-Omani Workers in Some Professions
Abrogating
Oman Ministerial Decision No. 200/2019 dated 24/04/2019
Based on the Labour Law, promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 35/2003;
Oman Ministerial Decision No. 200/2019 on the Temporary Suspension of the Licensing to recruit Non-Omani Workers in some Professions;
And based on the public interest requirements,
The following was decided:
Article 1
The licensing to recruit non-Omani workers in private sector premises operating in construction and cleaning works shall be suspended for (6) six months, and the liensing shall continue with a departure allowance.
Article 2
This Decision shall not apply to:
1- Premises employing (100) one hundred workers or more.
2- Premises operating in the implementation of government projects.
3- Premises owned by full-time managing employers registered at the Public Authority for SME Development and insured at the Public Authority for Social Insurance.
4- Premises registered in the world class category and headquartered in the free zones.
Article 3
The above-mentioned Oman Ministerial Decision No. 200/2019 shall be abrogated.
