Based on the Land Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 5/1980;
Regulation of the Real Estate Register promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 2/1998;
Law on the Prohibition of the Ownership of Land and Real Estate by Non-Omanis in Certain Places promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 29/2018;
The Controls of Company Ownership of Land and Real Estate to Practice the Activity promulgated by Oman Ministerial Decision No. 41/2017;
And based on public interest requirements,
The following Decision was issued:
Article 1
Clause 3 and 4 of Article 1 was replaced by virtue of Article 1 of Oman Ministerial Decision No. 102/2023 dated 18/05/2023 to read as follows:
Omani companies, and companies wholly owned by nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, may own land and real estate necessary to practice the activity licensed for purchase, in accordance with the legislation in force, and in accordance with the following controls:
