Oman Ministerial Decision No. 285/2015 On Adopting a Gulf Standard as Omani Binding Standard Specification
Abrogating
Oman Law No. 33/2010
- According to Oman Sultani Decree No. 39/1976 on the establishment of the Directorate General for Standards and Measurements; and
- Oman Sultani Decree No. 1/1978 on the determination of the competencies of the Directorate General for Standards and Measurements; and
- Oman Sultani Decree No. 102/2005 on the determination of the competencies of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the adoption of its organizational structure; and
- Oman Ministerial Decision No. 53/1984 on the ban of the import of goods and products that are contrary to Omani Standards; and
- Oman Ministerial Decision No. 33/2010 considering a Gulf Standard as an Omani Binding Standard (Technical Regulation); and
Based on the public interest requirements;
The following has been decided:
Article 1
The Gulf standard No. (GSO 2013, 1785) “Lubricating Oils for Internal Combustion Engines American Petroleum Institute (API) Classifications” shall be considered as an Omani binding Standard.
Article 2
The Ministerial Decision No. 33/2010 referred to shall be cancelled.
