Oman Ministerial Decision No. 1/2014 On the Formation of a Committee for the Discussion of the Manpower's Demands

Amended by virtue of

Oman Ministerial Decision No. 340/2014 dated 24/11/2014

Based on the Labour Law issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 35/2003;

Oman Ministerial Decision No. 294/2006 on the Regulation of Collective Bargaining, Peaceful Strikes and Lockouts, and

Based on the public interest requirements,

The following Decision was issued:

Article 1

A Committee shall be formed for considering the workers' demands at the facilities offering public or basic services to the public, oil facilities, petroleum refineries, ports and airports under the chairmanship of the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Labour Affairs and the membership of:

Amended by virtue of Article 1 of Oman Ministerial Decision No. 340/2014 dated 24/11/2014 and became as follows:

  • Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry for administrative and financial matters.

  • Deputy Chairman of the General Federation of Workers of the Sultanate of Oman

  • Representatives of the parties to the collective labour dispute.

The Committee may seek the assistance of whomever it may deem necessary to consider the workers' demands without having a countable vote.
