Oman Ministerial Decision No. 1152/2/19/2024-20 On the Issuance of the Regulation Governing Cloud Computing Services and Data Centres

Based on the Telecom Act promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 30/2002;

The Implementing Regulation of the Telecom Act promulgated by Oman Ministerial Decision No. 144/2008;

The approval of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority;

The approval of the Ministry of Finance; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

The following has been decided:

Article 1

The provisions of this Regulation Governing Cloud Computing Services and Data Centres enclosed herewith shall be put into effect.

Article 2

The persons addressed by the provisions of the attached Regulation shall adjust their situation in accordance with its provisions within six (6) months from the date of its entry into effect.

Article 3

Any provision that is contrary to the attached Regulation or contradicting with its provisions shall be abrogated.

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and it shall come into force from the day following the date of its publication.
