Oman Ministerial Decision No. 10/2016 On the Formation of a Committee for the Examination of Labour Demands and Determination of its Competencies
Abrogating
The Oman Ministerial Decision No. 1/2014 dated 01/01/2014
Based on the Labour Law, promulgated by the Oman Sultani Decree No. 35/2003,
The Oman Ministerial Decision No. 294/2006 on the regulation of collective bargaining, peaceful strikes and lockouts,
And the Oman Ministerial Decision No. 1/2014 on the formation of a Committee for the examination of labour demands,
The following was decided:
Article 1
A committee for the examination of labour demands shall be formed at the enterprises offering public or basic services to the public, the oil enterprises, oil refineries, ports and airports, presided by the Undersecretary of Manpower for Labour Affairs, with the membership of:
The Director General of the General Directorate for Labour Care (Vice-President);
Deputy Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
Vice-President of the General Federation of Workers of the Sultanate of Oman;
Representatives of the collective labour dispute parties.
The Committee may refer to whomever it deems appropriate to examine the labour demands without that person having the right to vote.
