Oman Decision No. R/10/2024 On Determining the Categories of Non-Omani Workers Subject to the Maternity Leave Insurance Branch

Pursuant to the perusal of the Social Protection Law issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 52/2023;

The Implementing Regulation of the Social Protection Law issued by Oman Decision No. R/7/2023;

The approval of the Board of Directors of the Social Protection Fund; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

The following has been decided:

Article 1

The provisions of the maternity leave insurance branch shall mandatorily apply to all non-Omani workers working in units of the State’s administrative apparatus and other public juridical persons, and workers in private sector establishments to whom the provisions of the Labour Law shall apply.

Article 2

Any provision deemed contrary to or inconsistent with this Decision shall be abrogated.

Article 3

This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and shall come into force as of 19/July/2024
